Colette Wheatley
Debbie ~ I thought the world of your parents, but especially your mother. I had the privilege of working as her classroom aide at the Little School for three years in the 70s while I was working on my own teaching degree. Because of her, and the wonderful experiences and role-model I had, I really thought that teaching pre-school was were I'd spend my teaching career. As it turned out I spend my career in fifth grade but always remembered, and used, skills I learned from your mother. In addition, both of your parents were always very welcoming of me in your home ... almost like a second family.
Unfortunately I am in Texas for a family funeral on the same day as your memorial service but will have all of you in my thoughts and prayers.
