Verna C McMullen's Obituary
Verna C. McMullen, 82, passed away Sunday March 20, 2016 at her home.
She was born on April 1, 1933 in Woodside, DE the sixth child of Elmer Edwards and Mabel Chambers Cohee. She attended Woodside and Caesar Rodney Schools. She was employed by Playtex for over 40 years, and was very proud of her record of perfect attendance at work. Verna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her beloved husband Johnny McMullen in 1996. She was also predeceased by her brother, Lester Cohee, and sisters Mary Clemence, Ila Poore, and Dorothea Anderson. She is survived by her son, Roland Carter, Jr. and her grandchildren Craig Carter and Amanda Carter and her special friends, George and Faye Miller. She is also survived by sister, Violet Marvel, her brother in law Eugene Anderson, her nephews Dave Hugg, Rodney Biddle, Jack Poore, Harvey Marvel, Wayne Poore, Randy Marvel, Dennis Poore, and Eddie Cohee, and her niece Vicki Biegler. Graveside services will be held at the family plot Monday March 28 11 AM at Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE
