Wayne Poore
I've carried with me fond memories of times spent at Aunt Verna's home as a child. Similar to my Mom, she had a "certain" sense of humor, or manner of teasing, always looking for a laugh.
Aunt Verna had a nickname for me, which might add to the "rumor" that I whined a lot as a child.(Some may say I never stopped... :-) I'm not sure I ever heard her call me anything but Whine , usually extending the "i" sound several seconds. This is likely why I've used a nickname for her almost exclusively - Aunt Nernie.
My condolences to Jr. and family, Aunt Violet, close friends of Verna's.
