I worked with Terry for many years during his time with C&T, he was a sweetheart and always so pleasant. Terry was such a happy go-lucky soul who brought so much joy to so many children's lives. He will be missed by so many. My condolences to his family.
Condolences to the entire Jelliffe family on the great loss of Terry. I met this great man in 2005 when I first started my corrections career at JTVCC. I will always remember his stories that he would share and the conversations we'd share in the receiving room when he was working court & transport. May he rest in peace now and bless the entire family with the understanding of true happiness, love, and meaning of life. He will surely be missed, but heaven needed another angel. I met Officer Jelliffe when I became a stro and started working at JTVCC in 2004. Then I worked with him a few times over the years when he was in court and trans. Every time I saw Officer Jelliffe in and out of work, he always had a smile on his face. As well as telling me his stories and laughing. I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and officer. Terry was a great man and a great Santa. Most of all, he was a great family man. He loved his family and every time I was around him he was always talking about his family. He will be missed.
Terry, you took me under your wing in March of 2001, when I started at Delaware Correctional Center in the newly designed Security Housing Unit. Coming from a twenty-year career in the United States Military you taught me how to be a good jailer and the importance of running a good housing unit! Traits I pass along daily at James T. Vaughn Correctional Center! I always enjoyed our times travelling up to New York to catch a Yankee's game with the Connelly's. You have a gift with people only a few have, I call it the Norman Vincent Peale effect! You leave us with beautiful stories and many memories I will always treasure. I had the pleasure of knowing Terry Jelliffe and at one point having the pleasure to be a part of this wonderful family.
