Margaret “Margie” Byrnes passed surrounded by her loved ones on Friday February 14. Margie was born March 11, 1927, in Cleveland Ohio to Stephen Menesy and Mary Chike. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur B Read Obituary
I worked in the gift shop at the Smyrna rest area and Mrs Margie was so kind and full of years of knowledge. Her gift to give directions to customers was the best. A lady came in without her distination address, name of the campsite and was totally lost. Mrs Margie calmly kept asking her questions and then gave her directions to where she needed to go. I was amazed and the rest area will never be able to replace her. Her decorations at the rest area was legendary.
Mrs. Margie will be dearly missed. I’m never going to forget all the good times I had with her at the Smyrna Rest Area. She was always a joy to be around & glad that I was able to call her a friend. I love & miss you Margie. Terri I’m always here if you ever need anything, love you.

I have many fond memories of Mrs. Byrnes. Spent so much time at her house in my senior year i had a toothbrush there. She was so kind and i will always cherish the kindness she showed me. God has another angel in his presence.
Miss Margie was a kind sweet lady that I had the honor of doing her hair for close to 40 some years. She will be missed by so many of the friends that she met while getting her hair done. my sincere condolences to Terry. He has been a wonderful, wonderful daughter and caretaker. Her mother was constantly bragging And how blessed she was to have such a wonderful daughter.
