Laurie Lee Forbes' Obituary
LAURIE LEE FORBES Laurie passed away suddenly on December 31 2020. Laurie was born in Dover Delaware on January 15 1961 to John and Virginia Forbes. Laurie was a wonderful and loving person. Her sense of humor and funny wit always kept her family laughing. She loved her family, the beach, animals, had an incredible memory, and rarely missed any family or holiday celebration. She thrived on helping others and was always there in times of need. She attended Caesar Rodney High School and as a teen she, as many in the area, had her first job at Witt Bros in Wyoming. She worked for many years for Del Homes, Playtex, and was currently employed at Edgewell. Laurie’s passing was preceded by her parents, John Forbes Sr. and Virginia Forbes Drabbant, her sister Sharon Ulrich, and Stepmother Loretta Forbes. She is survived by her Dad Robert Drabbant, sisters Arlene (Bob) Gensel, Kathy (Shawn) Vogt, Diane Schulties, and brother John (Melody) Forbes Jr, stepsisters Connie (Alvin) Pickens, and Bonnie Woodall as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends, especially her lifelong friend Terri Hamilton. Laurie’s family was the center of her life and she was especially close to her nieces and nephews. Laurie will forever be in our thoughts and hearts. Due to covid restrictions service will be private. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
