John "Jack" C Fisher's Obituary
John C. Fisher, 92 The world lost a beautiful soul September 11th. John Charles Fisher passed peacefully with his family at his side this past Sunday. John, more often called Jack, was born August 4, 1930 in Clairton, PA to Charles and Grace Fisher. He and his brother Gary Fisher spent most of their younger years in PA. As a young man, John proudly served in the United States Army and is an alumnus of the University of Pittsburgh. In 1957 John married his soulmate Shirley Mae Tracey. The couple moved to Dover, Delaware to start their marital journey. Jack worked for State of Delaware health department specializing in speech pathology and audiology for 30 years. He and Shirley were loved by many friends and neighbors in Delaware, including members of the Presbyterian Church of Dover, where they were both actively involved. Jack is survived by his wife Shirley, two daughters and their spouses, Tracy and Richard Smith, Patricia and Paul Jackewicz. He is also survived by three grandchildren Jessica Jackewicz Barr, Justin Richard Smith, and Paul Michael Jackewicz as well as five great grandchildren, Ava and Jack Smith, Charlie, Ben, and Avery Jackewicz. Jack and Shirley spent their retirement years in Bradenton, Florida. As an avid history buff, a lover of golf, drawing, and cooking, Jack was also devoted to serving his community and his faith. He volunteered at De Soto National Memorial Park in Bradenton and was an active member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. He touched so many lives and will be loved and missed by all. Services will be held at The First Presbyterian Church of Dover, 54 S. State St. Dover, DE on October 8th at 10:00 am. Graveside will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice. Rehoboth Beach — John Fisher
