John C. Fisher, 92 The world lost a beautiful soul September 11th. John Charles Fisher passed peacefully with his family at his side this past Sunday. John, more often called Jack, was born August 4, 1930 in Clairton, PA to Charle Read Obituary
In Sept. 67 I had the good fortune to be hired by Jack at the DE Board of Health. Even after a number of other bosses I've had, he remains my #1 boss. When I experienced sexual harassment by one of the departments heads, he believed me and with followup with the head of the board of health uncovered that indeed this man was guilty of it with other employees. A big deal in the 60's to be believed. A great boss and family man! Helen Quinlan Holden
My thoughts and prayers go out to Shirley, Tracy, Patti, Justin, Jessica and Paul during this very difficult time. I will miss Jack and have many fond memories of family gatherings with him over the years. He always gave me great advice when it came to working with the State. He was such a kind person and will be missed by so many. May God give you all comfort and peace.
