Jane Roe Bryan's Obituary
Jane Roe Bryan, Age 91, a lifelong resident of Magnolia, until entering Westminster Village in 2011, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 25, 2017.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Charles "Fletcher" Bryan, Jr. (1977), her parents Herman T and Estelle Cohee Roe, her sister Elizabeth Roe Heatherly and her brother, Herman R (Buck) Roe.
Jane was a proud Class of 1942 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and an active member of Magnolia United Methodist Church, her entire life, where she served as choir director and pianist for many years. Jane and her husband owned and operated State Fire Equipment Co and State Janitorial Supply Co until she retired and subsequently opened Candlewycke Gift Shoppe. Jane led an active life involved in Red Hattters, Singing Ladies, Toy Makers, Read Aloud, Round Table Club of Wyoming and she also volunteered at Blood Bank of Delaware and The Nook Gift Shop at Westminster.
Her favorite pastimes were decorating for every holiday and shopping at Boscovs.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Charles F. Bryan, III and his wife, Sherry of Ashburn, Virginia; and David H Bryan and his wife Linda of Magnolia, Delaware; her 5 grandchildren, Charles F Bryan IV and Dirk E Bryan (Kara) of Arkansas; Sherri Bryan Blandin of Camden, Delaware; Amy Bryan Herman (Perry) of New Jersey; and Heather Bryan Aydelotte (Drew) of Magnolia, Delaware; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great, great granddaughter.
Services will be at Trader Funeral Home on Friday, March 31, at 11am, with visitation one hour earlier. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Magnolia United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
