My deepest condolences on the passing of your mother. Many fun and great times as we grew up in Magnolia. I will always keep that special spot in my heart for her.

We have many, many fond memories of Jane, such as her Friday afternoon happy hours and other holiday gatherings of her friends and family. The community has lost a wonderful and most respected lady. Our sincere condolences to her sons, Charlie and David, and their families during this difficult time. Sally & Gene Williams, Magnolia, DE.

Charlie....David....Fletcher...Dirk...what a long life of so many wondrous times, sharings, offerings. Your mother - always Mrs. Bryan to me even when I was 57 and she was 88 :) - made a huge impact in my life. She believed in me and supported me in my childhood/teenage years during many years of feeling awkward, confused, and different! Plus, she led me to Fletcher and Dirk, for whom I spent many, many happy hours babysitting, where I began discovering just how much I loved children. I am getting ready to semi-retire after nearly 40 years of being a pediatric physical therapist, specializing in babies/toddlers, birth to three years of age. Mrs. Bryan and her children/grandchildren were contributors to my adult success. I am so, so grateful that three years ago I went to visit Mrs. Bryan, seeing her for the first time in probably 35 years! I told her in person the impact she had made in my life.
May you know comfort in the memories of all that she lived and offered.

My sincere sympathy to the family of Jane("a fine lady") . As a Past-President and long-time member of the Clayton Century Club, a member club of the Delaware State Federation of Women's Clubs, I knew Jane through attending meetings, state conventions, and activities at other clubs. She always was smiling and enjoying herself and others--a true inspiriation for living a full life. Sincerely, Sally Locke, Smyrna, DE
Jane was a person of her own. I don't think she even liked me at first. She always called me Sally which was a Russum she went to school with. But things really changed, and I'm really glad it did. I really liked her as she did me. My husband Doug did her lawn care for her for a few years. Every time she would see me she would say, I don't know what I would do without your husband. He would do anything for her even if it didn't come under lawn care. Like change a light bulb, trap that cat Doug and take it somewhere else. Etc.
