Dorothy was a gentle soul. She was my first cousin. Her mother was sister to my mother Rosa Vockel. We saw a lot of each other since we lived nearby outside of Bowers Beach. My mother was her Aunt Rosie and she loved her. Later, after I married and moved to Little Heaven -- right next to the Pardee House, we became very close to that grand family.
Dorothy had a wonderful Mother (Aunt Mary) and a wonderful Mother in-law (Charlotte Pardee). She is at peace with God.
