I just found out about Yvonnes passing. I'm deeply sorry for the loss of such a beautiful soul. Sending my love, light, and peace to her family.
I remember when my parents lived down the street from the pharmacy and remember when my boys would go down and visit her. At closing time she would tell the boys to go home, and they would tell her I'll see you tomorrow Ms Yovone, and she would say okay boys. She had a heart ❤️ of Gold. She never seen a stranger. RIP
My deepest condolences to Yvonne's family and friends. She was a lovely human being and left a huge mark in this world. She will be missed.
I first met Yvonne over 30 years ago as a new member of Business and Professional Women. She was most welcoming to me and I enjoyed getting to know her through the years. She was my inspiration to become a business owner and appreciated her support. Jody, my sincere condolences to you and your family. She was truly a remarkable woman and I know she will be greatly missed by many. Helen (McCusker) Marotta
Yvonne, You had the biggest heart and you wore it on your sleeve. I have so many fond memories of you, spending time with you was always so special. We loved our El Azteca and would run into each other often there. That is where I turned you onto the Fajita Baked Potato, that ended up being one of your favs. I will order one the next time I go there in your honor. Sweet precious Yvonne REST IN PEACE!!!!!!. We will see each other again. Hugs to Jody and Jimmy, Gary and those two grandchildren whom we all knew you loved with all of your heart, Gage and Lauren. You will be missed and I loved you XOXOXOXOOXOXOXO Donna and Wayne Joiner
Yvonne was a unique lady. She reminded me of my mom in the sense you would never go hungry if you were at her home she was always preparing something mostly wild game her son Gary brought home from a day of hunting.Thats where I learned to cook deer goose duck pheasant you name it she could cook it.I ate many a meal at her home and spent time with family & friends Yvonne loved her family we had the pleasure of spending much time with mom mom & pop pop .We traveled together with Yvonne Steve & my late husband Greg Shrader. My sisters & I stayed at her beach house when we had our annual sister's get togethers. We loved it there .I felt blessed to have her as a friend. We were neighbors in Marydel. I loved knowing she was right down the road . Her home was my home & visa versa. I moved to Fl & kept in touch with her. We had many great conversations. Last time I was in town I picked her up & treated her to Crabs at my son & daughter in laws house. We had a great time eating crabs reminiscing about times gone by . When returning her home we pulled in the driveway & there stood a beautiful white owl. I didn’t leave that night until 1:00 am in the morning. A lot happened that evening that didn’t surprise either one of us. My friend go sing high on the mountain your work on earth is done. I know all the angels welcomed you with open arms. Until we meet again peace be with you. I will miss you!! My condolences to the family.
Though I hadn't seen Yvonne for quite a few years, I have so many great memories especially when the family lived on Bradford Street and we also lived in "old Dover". Loved knowing her parents too. From all the lovely tributes people have written, she continued to spend joy and love to those fortunate enough to know her. From Helen Holden in Colorado
We have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent with our sister-in-law, Yvonne, and her family. At this time of year, we remember the time we were with her at her beach cottage one August. We had bought a dozen ears of corn. Yvonne and Nels both love corn on the cob so Yvonne ate 5 ears, Nels ate 6 ears, and I ate one. Yvonne and Nels enjoyed their feast immensely. We also treasure the time we went clamming with Yvonne, Steve, Mom-Mom, Pop-Pop, and our daughter, Sonja. And we'll never forget the time Yvonne, Jody, Nels, and I went to Dumser's at 3 a.m. but Steve didn't want to go because he didn't want to mess up his hair. Jody quoted Warren Zevon and said Steve didn't want to go because "his hair was perfect." We will miss her so much. Love from Donna and Nels Berdahl
She was a treasure, not only to her family, but to the many lives, she affected through her her businesses and through her advocacies.
Cindy and I will always remember Yvonne kindness and friendship. I will always remember her how she reminded me of how I put a dent in Jody’s head the first time I met her and her family at the Carroll’s Corner Safeway…..so many years ago. May you Rest in Peace amongst the stars and God keep your family close to His heart. Robin and Cindy Christiansen
