William H. “George” Thompson, Sr.
William H. “George” Thompson, Sr., age 79, of Georgetown died Thursday, November 20th, 2014 peacefully at home. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Gladys (Elliott) Thompson, his sisters Doretta Thompson Ford, Hulda “Jane” Thompson Jones, Doris Thompson; and his wife Barbara Jean (Justice) Thompson.
A lifetime truck driver, he retired from Reed Trucking out of Milton.
He is survived by his son Hank Thompson of Georgetown; his 4 grandchildren, Billy Thompson and wife Tyna of Georgetown, Monica Davis and husband Mike of Longneck, Chealsea Thompson and fiancé Ray Shaffer of Seaford, Macey Thompson of Georgetown; 6 great grandchildren; and his brother Harry “Buck” Thompson and wife Rosie of Milford.
A funeral service is planned on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 at 10am at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware 19901
