William C. Nickerson Sr.'s Obituary
Hartly, William (Bill) C. Nickerson, Sr., 90, passway Sept 25, 2025, at his home with family. Bill was born July 15, 1935 in Templeville, MD, the son of the late Charles and Dorothy Simpson Nickerson.
Bill worked at Reichhold Chemicals and retired and worked at Bobola Farms and retired.
Bill was a 73-year Life Member of Hartly Volunteer Fire Company, he was also a member of the Delaware State Fire Police for many years. He was a member of Hartly United Methodist Church. Bill enjoyed Phillies baseball, Nascar, camping, farm auctions, and doing seek and find. He is preceded in death by his brother Edward Ebby Nickerson and sister Sara Roberts.
He is survived by his Wife Joan Nickerson, Son William Charles Nickerson, Jr., Stepdaughter Ruth Ann Washburn, Brothers, James Nickerson and Dick Nickerson, Grandchildren, Bradley Nickerson, Brock Robinson, Danielle Washburn, Great Grandchildren, Erica Liles, Sara Graves, Nathaniel and Nicholas Washburn, Great Great Grandchild, Jacob Sargent
Services will be Sat. Oct 4, 2025 at Hartly Volunteer Fire Hall, service at 11 AM and calling before service from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be at Sharon Hills Memorial Park Dover. Donations can be made to Hartly Volunteer Fire Company in Bill's name.
