William Drobish's Obituary
William Drobish, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Born on October 4, 1943, in Philadelphia, PA, to Herman and Pearl Drobish, Bill lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion.
He married his sweetheart, Arlene Brinkman, on September 28, 1968—a union built on love and partnership that lasted over five decades. Bill dedicated 30 years of service to SEPTA before retiring in 1999.
He was a proud father and grandfather, survived by his two daughters and their spouses, Amy & Ted, Jen & Jenn, and three beloved grandchildren, Mia, Cole, and Justi. Bill’s greatest joy was his family, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A true Philly sports fanatic, Bill never missed a game and was always ready to cheer (or yell) at the TV. He had a big laugh and an even bigger heart. Whether playing cards with friends, traveling with Arlene, or spoiling his pets—Heidi, Freddie, and Smokey—Bill found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 21 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at Trader Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life beginning at 1:30 PM. Reception details will be shared at the service. He will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, PA, on Tuesday, April 22 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Delaware Hospice in Bill’s honor: https://delawarehospice.org/
