William O. Downes Sr.'s Obituary
William O. Downes, Sr., Felton, passed away surrounded by his family, Monday February 03, 2014 at KGH Bay Health Dover.
He was born on September 10, 1930 in Dover, DE to the late Frank and Ida Glanden Downes.
He was a member of the Camden/Wyoming Moose Club. Bill worked at Playtex for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, bowling, reading and watching wrestling. He is preceded in death by his wife Far L. (Cook) Downes, brother Ronald Downes and sister Corine Seaman (Beasley).
He is survived by Sons, William O. Downes, Jr of Jacksonville, FL., Frank Downes of Woodside, DE. ,Sisters and husbands, Dorothy and Wilbert Comegys, Sr. of Dover, DE. Betty and Woody Johnson of Dover, DE. Charlotte and Ben Shockley of Dover, DE. 2 Grandchildren, Long companion, Eva Thompson.
Remembrance Services will be held Monday 02/10/2014 1 PM at Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover, DE
