William (Bill) DeVita
Age: 78 Dover, DE
William (Bill) DeVita Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on June 11, 2016 after a brief illness.
Bill was born on November 14, 1938 and raised in Philadelphia, PA to the late Salvatore and Minnie DeVita (Corsetti). He has been a residence of Dover, DE for over 30 years.
Bill was an employee at Dover Downs Casino for many years where he enjoyed working and gambling. He loved bowling and was the Lower Delaware Bowling League Secretary for many years.
He is predeceased by his wife Patricia (Doyle), and 5 siblings; Phyllis Alcaro, John DeVita, Nicholas DeVita, Michael DeVita, and Gloria Williams.
He is survived by his three sons; William DeVita Jr. and wife Linda, Joseph DeVita, and Anthony DeVita, 4 grandchildren; Vincent DeVita and wife Jessica, Brian DeVita and wife Amanda, Lori DeVita, and Jenna DeVita, 3 great-grandchildren; Vincent DeVita Jr., Dominic DeVita, Adrianna DeVita, and sister Edith Detullio
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday evening between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and again on Thursday one hour prior to the service at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover DE 19901. Funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 12 p.m.
