William John Cox II's Obituary
William John Cox II, 31, known to most as “Billy Jack” engaged to Carrie Butler of Magnolia
DE. tragically drowned October 29, 2017 while at Port Mahon. Born March 23rd 1986 in
Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Margaret M. Peters and the late William “Bill” Cox.
He attended Caesar Rodney High for a short time before getting a job to take care of the bills
and his twin brother “Lucky” after his father’s passing. Billy Jack was proud to be a volunteer
firefighter for more than 10 years at the Little Creek Fire Company He also worked several jobs throughout his adult years. He was a jack of all trades. He loved working with his hands and mastering different techniques with woodworking. Wishing wells were one of his favorite things to build. He also loved children, (after the diaper stage anyway) and they loved him so much which is a good thing considering the huge family he came from.
He was preceded in death by father William J. Cox, twin brother Joseph “Lucky” Cox, grandfathers
Joseph A. Cox and Leo J. Peters.
He is survived by his mother Margret Peters, His 2nd Mother Amy Cox-Frazier and her husband Kenneth,
4 Sisters Michelle Rambo and her husband Tom, Angel Cox-Sedliak and her husband Ken, Kimberly
Cox-Rauscher and her husband Nick and Alicia Cox. Grandmothers Gertrude Cox and Mary Cosgrove.
2 Uncles Ken Cox and his wife Darlene and Allen Cox. A Goddaughter Bobbie Jo Rauscher. His Fiance
Carrie Butler and her family Jennifer, Daniel, Gary and Wendy. As well as a host of Cousins, Nieces and
Nephews, all of whom he shared a special bond with: Billy, Davidson, Harley, Bobbie Jo, Aymeric,
Brianna, Sky, Jade, Taj, Tatyana, Gemma, Joe, Liz, Amber, Billy Joe, Bubba, Samantha, Taylor, DJ,
Dustin, Gertie, Jadyn, Kenny, ‘Lil Joe,
Lucas, Lily, Frankie, Envy, Zoey,
Junior, ‘Lil Bubba, Payton, Michael,
Callie, McKenzie, Bella & Leo.
There will be a viewing on Friday November 3rd from 6-8 pm at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus Street Dover, DE. 19901 and there will be a Memorial service on Saturday November 4th from 3-7 pm at the Little Creek Fire Company Social Hall 311 Main Street Little Creek, DE
