Wayne Douglas Bishop Sr.
Wayne Douglas Bishop Sr., 81, of Dover, Delaware, passed away peacefully at his home on July 24, 2026.
Born in Washington, D.C., Wayne was the son of the late Elmer and Chlorine Frye Bishop. He was self-employed and took great pride in his work. Wayne enjoyed staying busy and was especially passionate about restoring old vehicles. His other interests included bowling, playing poker, and cheering on the Washington Nationals and Washington Redskins.
Wayne is survived by his former wife, Delores Bishop; his son, Wayne Douglas Bishop Jr. and his wife, Ronda; his daughters, Tina Marie Bishop and Mary Bishop Tolodziecki and her husband, Jerry; his brothers, Butch, Ralph, and Mike; his sister-in-law, Pam Bishop; and his sister, Sue Meade and her husband, Buddy.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Kacey, Cory, Tess, Erin, Jamie, and Kelly; and his great-grandchildren, Chase, Jensen, and Wylder.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the residence of Wayne Jr. and Ronda on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
