Walter George Dill's Obituary
An Honorable Veteran Walter George Dill (George), 71 of Smyrna, Delaware, passed away peacefully at Christiana Hospital surrounded by his Twin Brother John and John’s wife Karen and very special Nephew Doug and Son Timmy on Thursday morning September 14, 2023. He was born on June 3, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the Son of George J. Dill & Helen L. Dill of Dover. George graduated from Caesar Rodney High School, Class of 1971. George was an Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and attained the rank of A1C and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He worked over the years as a plumbing and heating technician and for the last 13 years, he worked part-time at the Dover Modern Maturity Center in Dover helping the Meal on Wheels. George really enjoyed fishing, going to the casinos, spending time with his family, his 2 dogs and was a diehard Philadelphia Eagle Fan “E-A-G-L-E” Go Eagles. He loved his time in the military. He was a patriotic American Airmen who served his country, state, and community willingly and without reservation. George is survived by his mother Helen L. Dill, estrange wife Karen Abe, his twin brother John, and his wife Karen, 2 Sisters Marylou Creighton, Teddy McQuade, and Husband Gene) several children, grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephew, and let’s not forget his Furry Friends Jamie and Rusty. Visitations will be at Trader’s Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street in Dover, where family and friends may call from 10-11am on Tuesday October 3, 2023. The Interment will be private burial with Military Honors.
