Virginia Jean LePore's Obituary
Virginia (Ginny) J LePore, age 89 passed away on July 2, 2025. Virginia was born on March 31, 1936 in Chicago IL. She moved to Elsmere, DE in 1946 when her mother married her stepfather Earl C. Colmery. She graduated from Conrad High School in Wilmington, DE, after high school she worked as a Telephone Operator for Diamond State Telephone Company in Wilmington DE
She moved to Marydel MD when she Married her husband Michael in 1955. She then worked at Playtex in different positions until her retirement.
She was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Eagles. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their Motor Home. In her later years she enjoyed doing her Word Search Puzzles.
Virginia was proceeded in death by her loving husband Michael N. LePore, her son Michael J LePore and her parents Rita and Earl Colmery.
She is survived by her 4 children, Linda Crothers (Al), Rita Minner (Mark), Sandy Ebert (Rob), Anthony LePore, and a daughter-in-law Christine LePore as well as her 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grand-children, with one due any day and 1 great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her sister Margie Comegys (Robert) and her brother Gary Anderson (Barbara), her sisters-in-laws Anna Holsinger and Mary LePore and her brother-in-law Harry LePore (Susie).
A Service will be held on Friday, July 11th at 11 am at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
