Virginia Bliem's Obituary
Virginia Bliem, 71, of Dover, DE, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024 with her two children by her side.
Virginia was born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Charles and Clara Dee. She spent her childhood summers making memories with her family in Staten Island, NY and Hoboken, NJ before moving to Dover, DE after her father transferred for
work at Kraft Foods in 1964.
Virginia graduated from Dover High School in 1970 and then began working for Bayhealth as a data processor before becoming an administrative assistant. She then retired after working for 42 years with the same employer.
Virginia loved to spend time with her family especially being with her children and grandchildren whether it was swimming in the pool (her favorite place to be), going to the beach, going on cruises (her favorite was the Bahamas), traveling to numerous places, attending country concerts, or just relaxing on “day trips”. She loved to be outside in the sunshine reading a good book, planting flowers all over her yard, or attending family gatherings. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Mindy, taking her for car rides and walks around the neighborhood.
Virginia was preceded in passing by her parents, Charles and Clara Dee, and brother, Charles Dee Jr. Virginia is survived by her son, Edward Bliem and daughter-in-law Dawn; daughter Kelly Bliem; grandchildren: Lucas, Leah, and Isla. She is also survived by her brothers, James Dee and sister-in-law Marie, and Russell Dee as well as an aunt, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Virginia had very close friends that loved her including Pat, Betty, Carol, Sharon, Laura, and Sandra.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the convenience of the family.
