Una Noreen Bourassa's Obituary
Una Noreen Bourassa, 92, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2026, surrounded by family. She was born on June 29, 1934, in St. John’s Newfoundland, Canada.
Noreen was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard Bourassa; her parents, Clara and Alexander Thistle; her sister and husband Jean and Bern Pike; her brother Alex Thistle; her niece Debbie Pike; and her granddaughter Jackie Seeman.
Noreen is survived by her four sons, Danny Seeman; Larry Seeman (Stephanie); Glenn Seeman (Terri); Craig Seeman (AO); and her grandchildren Daniel C and Matthew Seeman; Larry and Jenna Seeman; Alex, Tim, Nick, and Ashley Seeman; Heather and Jason Seeman; and 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Sandra Butler and numerous beloved Canadian nieces and nephews.
She loved to garden, bake, build puzzles, and play the organ. She became proficient with all, and she especially enjoyed teaching others how to play the organ. Each Holiday gathering included music and singing.
Noreen’s greatest accomplishment and source of happiness was her family. She and her 4 boys traveled the world thanks to the military. Noreen enjoyed raising her boys in several different countries while traveling on weekends to nearby areas.
Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the family she cherished and the love she shared throughout her life.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on July 25th at Traders Funeral Home in Dover, Delaware from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be held at the American Legion Post #2 in Dover, Delaware following the services.
A private burial will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro, Delaware.
