Thelma Timmons Moore's Obituary
Thelma Timmons Moore, aged 81, of Wyoming Delaware, gained her wings on December 27, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born February 18, 1942 in Hebron, MD to her father Dory Timmons (deceased).
She was devoted to her family and spent much time with her granddaughters. She loved music, working on the computer, making crafts, and working with her flowers.
As an active member of the Faith Community Church, she was a Sunday School teacher, choir member, Vacation Bible School worker and she loved and cuddled the babies in the nursery. For 35 years, her ministry had been to the boys and girls in the AWANA program. Her belief was “They don’t care how much you know, until they know how much you care.”
Her life verse was Isaiah 40:31- “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with Wings as Eagles.”
She will always be remembered as a loving, kind, compassionate and considerate person who went out of her way to help others.
Thelma is survived by her loving son, Robert Moore, and her daughter in law Theresa Moore. She will forever be cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren, Taylor Moore (Joey), Katelyn Moore-Curtis (Sean), Kristine Davis, Brooke Davis, Halley Melvin, and great granddaughter Sofia. She is survived by her step siblings, Ann Groton, Joyce Collins, Deborah Comegys, Lynn Cooper Donoway, Woody Cooper.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Moore. Her father Dory Timmons, and Step Mothers Elizabeth Timmons and Kathleen Timmons. Her brother Dory Timmons, and step brothers Wilson Callaway, and Terry Cooper.
Services will be Wed. Jan. 3, 2024 at 12 noon at Faith Community Church Camden where family and friends may call 1 hour before time of the service. Burial will be at Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
