Sue D. Gede's Obituary
Dover, DE – Sue Gede passed away peacefully at her home on July 10, 2023.
She was born May 19, 1938 in Johnstown, PA to the late Arthur and Suzanne (St.Clair) Jovenall.
Sue grew up in Johnstown, PA and attended Johnstown High School.
She attended Indiana State College of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.
After Indiana State College of Pennsylvania Sue moved to Dover, Delaware where she became a Secondary English teacher for Smyrna High School in Smyrna, DE for several years.
In 1966 Sue met and married her wonderful husband the late William (Bill) Gede of 51 years.
Sue was a loving homemaker to her husband and three children. She loved to spend time gardening, flyfishing, bird watching and reading poetry.
She was a volunteer for the Delaware Agricultural Museum and den mother for the cub scouts.
Sue is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Sue is survived by her son Mark A. Gede (Alexis Virdin-Gede), daughter Stacey L. Gede and her other daughter Kimberley S. Conner (Will Conner).
Five Grandchildren Stephen Campagnini III (wife Brittinie), Michael Campagnini (wife Brianne), Gina Campagnini-Ruiz (husband Edgar), Nicholas Campagnini and Kendal Gede.
One Granddog Spello Gede.
4 Step Grandchildren Brandon, Blake, Bronson and Brock Conner.
Seven Great Grandchildren Stephen IV, Leo, Thomas, Leia, Qi’ra, Anakin Campagnini and Kanye Conner
A private memorial service will be held at the Millsboro Veterans Cemetery 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE on July 21, 2023 at 11:00am.
