Ruthellen Sissy Carson's Obituary
Ruthellen “Sissy” Carson, Age 84 years of Dover, Delaware sadly left us on Friday, June 21, 2024.
Ruthellen retired from Kraft Foods in 1995. She enjoyed spending time outside working in the yard and with her flowers and plants and cuddling with her “Sweetie”, Suzie the cat. She loved family gatherings of any kind. The more family around her, the happier she was.
Ruthellen was preceded in departure from this life by her parents, Edward “Buddy” and Edna Mae (Newnom) Long, her brother, Edgar Long, her oldest daughter, Doreen Lori (Wright) Scarbrough and her youngest daughter, Teresa Ellen Carson.
Ruthellen is survived by her daughter, Catherine Grzeszczak and her husband, Jeffrey and son-in-law, Amos Scarbrough. 6 grandchildren, Amanda Scarbrough and her partner, Josh Spruance, Samantha Scarbrough, Shawn Trader and his partner, Briel Woods, Brandi Morris and her husband, Tyler, Victoria Grzeszczak and James Grzeszczak. 3 great grandchildren, Kalea Spruance, Brooke Bailey, and Amelia Trader. Her sister-in-law, Marybelle Long, her nephew, Robert Long, her nieces, Catherine Coughlin, Deborah Webb, Lori Kirk, Rebecca Mitchell, her cousin, Joan Conard and many cousins from Odessa, Delaware and Maryland.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Trader’s Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, where family and friends may call at 11:00 am.
