Roy J Spence's Obituary
Roy J. Spence of Camden, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 15 peacefully at home. He was 97. Roy lived in Roselle Park, NJ, Barnegat, NJ, Sarasota, FL before returning to Camden, DE.
Roy was born on April 26, 1925 in Camden, DE to the late Roy and Margaret Spence. He moved to New Jersey in 1955.
He worked in the Corporate Finance Group of Rapid America Corporation (Playtex) in Delaware and later relocated to New York City for over 40 years.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his wife, Doris (Arrington) Spence for 59 years, his second wife, Charlotte, sons, Sgt. Roger J. Spence and Dennis J. Spence. He leaves behind his children, Pamela Sampson and Roy C. Spence both residing in NJ, 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Remembrance services will be 1 o'clock, Thursday June 23, in Trader Funeral Home in Dover, DE where friends may call one hour earlier. Burial will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden, DE.
