Roy P. Mest - Retired machine operator
DOVER - Roy Mest of Dover, Delaware and formerly of Long Neck, Delaware and Green Lane, Pennsylvania passed away on March 7, 2018 in Westminster Village, Dover, Delaware.
Roy was born on April 22, 1931 in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce, parents Kenneth and Ella Mest and a brother Richard Mest.
Roy enjoyed all his family and friends. He was so excited to see the Eagles become Super Bowl Champions. He also enjoyed taking trips, cruising, boating, fishing, crabbing, doing puzzles and going to the casinos. He was a veteran of the Air Force serving in the Korean War. He was a member of Pennsburg UCC, Pennsylvania. He was a former member of the Lions club and the Elks.
Roy is survived by his children; David Mest and spouse Nancy Mest, Joanne Mayer, Debra Royer and spouse Dwight Royer, Kenneth Mest and spouse Colleen Mest, Douglas Mest and spouse Mark Pelekakis; grandchildren Nicholas Royer and spouse Melissa Clymer, Alyssa Pepper and spouse Fred Pepper, Nathan Royer and spouse Elizabeth Royer, Stacy Churchill and spouse Andy Churchill, Patrick Mest and spouse Caitlin Mest; greatgrandchildren Isaac Royer, Benjamin Royer, Declan Mest, Norah Churchill, Thomas Mest and Ryan Churchill
A celebration of life will be held at Pennsburg UCC in Pennsylvania on April 21st.
Visitation from 10am - 11am and a service at 11 am
His family would like to thank Westminster Village and all the staff there for all the love and care he was given during his time there.
