Roxanne Melvin's Obituary
Roxanne Melvin, 64, passed away on Monday January 7, 2019, at Bayhealth Medical Center. She was born on July 27, 1954 in Dover to the late John Bodine, Sr. and Catherine S. Truitt. During her life before becoming disabled, Roxanne was a home health care provider. She enjoyed watching baseball, football, women’s softball, and NASCAR racing. Her favorite NASCAR driver was Joey Logano.
In addition to her parents, Roxanne is preceded in death by her brothers John Bodine, Jr. Larry Bodine, Steve Bodine and a Stepfather, William Allen. Roxanne is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Ernest W. Melvin Sr., son Ernest W. Melvin Jr., daughter Sara Orlando (Anthony), brothers Kenneth and Gary Bodine, sisters Deloris Dill (Mitchell) and Sandra Morris, five grandchildren Christian, Noah, and Lucas Orlando, and McKenzie and Wesley Melvin, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, January 11th, 2019 from 5 pm - 7 pm at Trader's Funeral Home, 12 Locus Street, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dover Fire Department, 103 S. Governors Avenue Dover, DE 19904.
Burial will be private.
