Rose “Rosie” Marie Thompson
Age 78 of Dover, DE lost her battle with cancer and entered into God’s Kingdom, on April 5, 2015. She is survived by her husband Earl W. Thompson, Jr., brother Calvin Meyers (FL), daughter Linda M. Wester (DE), son Earl W. Thompson, III (PA), grandchildren Dawn Haw-Young (DE), Sue Lynn Haw (DE), Phillip Thompson (WI), and great-grandchildren, Aaron Settle (DE), Alyssa Young (DE), and Landon Durk (DE). She retired from Verizon after a full career where she started as a telephone operator. Once she retired she worked part time at the Dover Walmart. She was a spirited woman that spent most of her life taking care of her family and will be missed by many. Her request was not to mourn her death but to remember her the way that was special to you. Therefore, there will be no services. The family asks in lieu of flowers to contribute to Delaware Hospice. “This is not where it ends, I will carry you with me, ‘til I see you again” – Carrie Underwood
