Ronald Robert “Ronnie” Provost, 83, of Woodside, Delaware passed away peacefully on Feb 18, 2017 at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Delaware. He was born Oct 4, 1933, in Lewiston, Maine to the late Edward and Juliette Auger Provost. He married his high school sweetheart, Lorraine Roy, on June 25, 1955 in Lewiston, Maine.
Ronnie proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for 20 years before retiring at Dover AFB. After military retirement, he worked for the State of Delaware. He enjoyed trips to Hawaii, country music, his family, playing his guitar, and playing pool.
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Lorraine and his oldest brother Edward Provost. He is survived by his four children Susan and her husband Edward Trinidad of St. Albans, VT, Sharon of Abingdon, MD, Michael and his wife Mary of Stafford, VA, and Robin of Woodside, DE; brother Richard and his wife Sue Provost of Poland, ME; sister, Connie Jones of Spring Hill, FL; and five grandchildren, Nikki, Stephen, Derick, Stephanie, and Jenna.
Interment and memorial service with military honors will be performed on March 8 at the State Veterans’ Cemetery in Bear, DE at 1pm. The family will gather this summer in Oxford, ME for a celebration of his life.
