Ronald ‟Ronnie” Ernest Knotts, 64
Milford – Ronald ‟Ronnie” E. Knotts passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He fought a long and hard battle, never giving up.
He was born in Dover, DE on December 9, 1950 the son of the late Ernest and Pauline (Hufnal) Knotts. He was a 1968 graduate of Dover High School. Mr. Knotts proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1969 – 1971, doing a tour in Vietnam.
He was an electrician by trade, after serving in the Army he worked for Pepper Electric Company (1971-1981), Tudor Electric (1981-1991). In 1991 he started his own electrical company, ACE Electric. No job was too small or too big for Ronnie, he was always willing to take on any kind of job, not only in electrical but construction also.
He is survived by his fiancée, Charleen Cox, and his daughters, Roxane Knotts-Wyatt of Felton; Catrina Knotts of Felton; Crystal Rosado and her husband Miguel of Milford; and Kimberly Knotts of Felton. Ronnie had 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley (Ronald) Dear, Linda (Tony) Mozick, Darlene (Joe) Klenoski and Carol (Richard) Edgar all of Dover, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at 12 noon at Trader’s Funeral Home in Dover, where friends may call between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, DE.
