Robert Lloyd Wilcutts' Obituary
Robert (Bob) Lloyd Wilcutts
Bob left this world on June 11, 2018 peacefully at home with his family by his side. Born in 1923 in Dover to Florence and G. Lloyd Wilcutts, he grew up in Magnolia and then Camden. Bob graduated from Caesar Rodney High School and Coyne Electrical College. While serving in the U.S. Army he maintained communications in the Rhineland and Central Europe with a crew of 12 traveling to trouble shoot, operating radios and laying wire. Always ready for adventure, he remained in Europe as a civilian after the war working as a truck driver for the military. After returning to the states he travelled to Alaska with a friend to homestead and returned home with many tales to share. Throughout his life Bob never stopped learning, found humor in most situations, and gave his best or not at all. He was a long time member of IBEW #313, owned and trained race horses and played golf every day until he was unable. Bob is predeceased by his brothers Richard and John Edward, son Richard and a beloved nephew George Pardee. He is survived by his sister Margaret Pardee Carr of Orange Park, FL, daughter Patricia Kendrick Bliler (husband Jeffrey) with whom he resided in Frederica, DE, grandson Alex Kendrick of Albany, NY, granddaughter Kimberly Wilcutts of Key West, FL, and 10 great grandchildren all from Albany, NY. Cremation was handled by Trader's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Wednesday June 27 at Odd Fellows Cemetery Camden, DE at 11am. The family would like to thank Delaware Hospice for their care and support and request donations be made to them in Bob's name in lieu of flowers.
