Ray C. Hunt's Obituary
Ray Clark Hunt, of Dover DE, passed away peacefully at home, on December 15, 2024. He was the beloved son of the late George W. Hunt and Charlot M. Hunt.
Ray is survived by his aunt, Ruth M. Lance of Dover and numerous cousins, including Judith and Richard Dugan of Dover; Julie and Marcus and Julie Northrup of Dover; Richard and Jess Dugan of North Carolina; Beth Duran and her family of Dover; Amy Allen, David Alen and Mark Allen and their families in Ohio; Terry and Gary Burris of Marydel; Randy and Karen Lance and their families of Tennessee, as well as many other cherished family members on both sides of his family.
Ray was a proud graduate of Dover High School in 1984, and then went on to attend Welsey Collage, where he earned a degree in Biology with a focus on Science, Engineering and Chemistry.
Ray found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved taking his truck to the beaches for surf fishing during the summer months and spending time out on the water whenever he could. Even after a motorcycle accident altered his mobility. Ray remained determined to enjoy life to the fullest.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025 at Trader’s Funeral Home in Dover from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made in Ray’s memory to the Bowers Beach Maritime Museum, 3357 Main Street, Frederica, DE, 19946.
Ray’s Memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends and to all who know him. May he rest in peace.
