Paul Buddy Chike's Obituary
Paul T (Buddy) Chike, 78 of Dover died at Bay Health Hospital Sunday, June 14, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born in Wyoming, DE February 19, 1937, son of the late Paul and Amelia Boone Chike and preceded by one brother, Lewis H Chike of Salem, OR.
Buddy was a lifelong resident of Dover, longtime member of Indian River Boating Association, the Antique Auto Club and the Moose Lodge of Camden Wyoming.
In addition to his wife of 58 years, Shelta Jane Chike, Buddy is survived by a daughter Darlene Boyd of New Bern, NC, son Paul (Tommy) Chike, Jr. of Dover, two granddaughters Courtney L Voshell of Dover and Caitlyn E Walpole of Abingdon, MD, two great grandchildren Greyson and Amelia Voshell, two sisters Dr. Katherine M Laster of Burbank CA and Patsy Sower of Westlake Village CA and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2015, at 1:00 PM, at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, DE 19901, where friends may join the family beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow services at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, 6416 Bay Road, Frederica, DE. Arrangements by Trader Funeral Home. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
