Patricia Van Wieren's Obituary
Patricia Van Wieren of Wyoming, DE, formerly of Oakland, NJ, died December 16, 2022. Born in Franklin Lakes, NJ to Cornelius and Carolyn Anne Keastead Van Wieren, Patricia graduated cum laude from William Paterson College with a degree in communications, and then used her considerable writing and marketing skills in various posts in New Jersey including Prudential Financial in Newark and GAF Corporation in Wayne. Later she briefly worked as a realtor before relocating to Delaware where she edited Camden-Wyoming’s newsletter and volunteered at Dover Public Library, helping with programming, publicity and press releases for their popular film program. She loved word games, films and reading — both books and tarot cards — as well as watching all three FBI shows and the nightly news. Patricia wanted no services, just burial next to her beloved older brother Jeffrey in Fairlawn Cemetery near Paterson, NJ.
