Patricia “Patty” A. Martin, 54
Felton—Patricia “Patty” A. Martin, of Felton DE, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016, after a long hard fought battle with Leukemia at Christiana Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was 54.
She was born on Feb. 26, 1962, at Dover AFB to the late William “Benny” R. Benjamin and Patricia L. (Hartnett) Benjamin.
Patricia was part of State of Delaware DMV medical section for 16 years, worked numerous years as a bakery manager at various grocery stores in the Dover area additionally, worked as a consultant for Longaberger, and Home Interior’s for multiple years.
Her hobbies were designing flower arrangements, landscaping at her home, and enjoying spending time with family and friends. Additionally, she loved to read a good Danielle Steele novel, listening to country music, and was instrumental in her son Jonathan’s sporting activities, as well as, spoiling her grandchildren every chance she had. She was always there to lend a hand to friends, neighbors, or family.
She is preceded by her father William “Benny” R. Benjamin and survived by her mother Patricia L. (Hartnett) Benjamin of Dover DE, by Frederick E. Martin, her loving husband of 16 wonderful years of marriage, her four children Heather M. Wolfenden and husband Matthew Wolfenden of Felton DE, Christopher (CJ) A. San Filippo of Oklahoma, Jacquelyn (Jackie) E. San Filippo of Oklahoma, Jonathan M. Martin of Felton DE, two sisters Wanda L. Donovan of Maryland, Sandra D. Houk and husband Scott S. Houk of Florida, her brother William (Billy) R. Benjamin Jr. of Rising Sun DE. She also leaves behind 18 nieces/nephews, and 3 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, August 26, at Trader Funeral Home Inc., 12 Lotus Street, Dover. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will be at Lakeside Cemetery, Dover DE.
