Nunzia Nancy Cannizzo's Obituary
DOVER - Nunzia "Nancy" Cannizzo, 81, passed away at Rose Lane, State Street Assisted Living in Dover March 21. She was born May 31, 1936 in Camden, DE to the late Gaetano and Rosalie (Liberto) Cannizzo. She graduated from Caesar Rodney High School in 1954, attended University of Delaware and graduated from Goldey-Beacom College. She joined Playtex Products in 1957 and held office positions in purchasing, distribution, credit and customer service until retirement in 1998 after 41 years of service. Nancy was interested in theater and was a member of the Kent County Theater Guild for over 40 years and served as treasurer for 25 years. She joined the Soroptimist Int'l Club of Dover in 1973 and held several offices for the Dover District, including district secretary and president. She also enjoyed the beach and traveling. She is survived by her sister Margaret and brother in law Gerald Gorman of Ramsey, NJ. Niece Terri and husband Navy Capt. William Davidson of Corpus Christi, TX; nephew Thomas Sullivan, wife Daphne and great niece Erica Nicole Sullivan of Virginia Beach, VA. Also Aunt Catherine Liberto of Trenton, NJ and many cousins in DE, PA, NJ, VA and NC. Graveside services will be Monday 10 AM at Holy Cross Cemetery Dover. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Parkinsons Research or charity of your choice. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff at Rose Lane for their care and loving treatment and Seasons Hospice in the latter days.
