A celebration of Life will be held for Mildred Clendaniel Tribbitt on February 5, 2019 in the Trader's Funeral
Home at 12 Lotus Street, Dover, De 19901
Where Friends and Family may call starting at 11:00 am, with the Services immediately following at 1:00am
Mildred Tribbitt,90 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 30,2019.
During a recent stay at Cadia Rehab Center in Dover, Surrounded by her loving family.
Mildred was born July 3, 1928 in Dover. The daughter of the late Blanche Baker Clendaniel and Harry Clendaniel.
She was one of six Children. And in addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by her five siblings;
Sarah, Milton, Irene, John, and Benjamin.
Also preceeded in death by her loving husband of 59 years; James F. Tribbitt,Jr.
A Delaware Native, she remained in the Dover Area and raised her three children;
Robert James Tribbitt (and wife,Marcie), Wilmington
Jean (Fotias) Oliver (and husband, Robert),Dover
Patricia Ann Tribbitt, Harrington
Mildred was very proud of her five Grandchildren, which includes step-children and their spouses.
John (Donna Lynch)Tribbitt, Deanna (Victor III) Marcelo, Andrew (Alyson) Fotias, Alexandria Oliver
(Scott Couch), Christine Oliver (Walt Cooke).
And cherished her twelve Great-Grandchildren,
Wesley (Molly) Tribbitt, Kyle (Amy) Tribbitt, Aaron (Sarah) Tribbitt, Marshall (Brittany) Tribbitt,
Michael Rinehart (Sherri-recently deceased)
Matthew Rinehart (Becca) Victor Marcelo, IV,Luke Marcelo, Amelia Fotias, Harper Couch, Violet Cooke,
Parker Couch (soon to arrive)
And held dear to her heart her seven Great-Great-Grandchildren;
Chase Tribbitt, Aubree Tribbitt, Charlotte Tribbitt, Madison Tribbitt, Allison Rinehart,Connor Rinehart,
Brandon Rinehart.
Mrs. Tribbitt spent a large part of her life working as an aide caring for the eldery in and around the Dover area.
Along with helping her husband build their business, Jim Tribbitt's Gas Station and Repair Garage located on Dupont Highway
at The Cheswold Light.
Mildred's many hobbies, interest, and volunteering included; Being very active in The Trinity Wesleyan and in her earlier years in
The Cheswold Church as a Sunday School Teacher,
The Youth Choir leader, as well as Singing in the Choir herself. She took pride in serving as Director of Vacation Bible School.
She begame a Brownie Leader and Girl Scout Leader. Remembering fondly the adventures she involved the girls in.
She joined multiple singing groups in the Dover area, and enjoyed even being in a few plays performing on stage in some musicals.
Her love of finding out more of her Famiy History lead her to doing her Ancestry Research (way before the Internet made it easier).
When she found out that her family traced back in the Delaware-Maryland-Virginia area to the year 1636,this paved the way to becoming
a Founding Member of "The National Society Colonial Dames of the 17th Century. Where to be a member you must prove your Ancestory goes
back to the origial Colonials to 1701. (This was Delaware's First Chapter)"
Even serving as Delaware's State President of this Organization and
representing the State for a trip to The White House. And honored by being able to shake the hand of First Lady Barbara Bush.
She was a member in long standing of the"Delaware Association of American Mothers Inc."and the "Round Table Club". And after having her daughter
submit the papers to be considered as "Mother of the Year", she was the Runner up for that Title, and was pleased to be Recognized as Merit Mother of the Year,
2010. And had always treasured the memory of the presentation of that Award by our State Governor.
We will miss her Dearly, but the precious memories wil be in our minds and hearts forever.

Interment will be in "Sharon Hills Memorial Park", Dover.
A gathering of Friends and Family will follow at The Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 S. State Street, Dover, De
