Michael A. Sipple's Obituary
Michael Alan Sipple, age 53 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday January 20, 2015. Michael was born on May 27, 1961 in Dover, Delaware the son of John Lyman and Grace Hurd Sipple. A graduate of Dover High School, Michael studied Engineering at Delaware State University, was a surveyor in the 1990’s and a Real Estate Representative for the State of Delaware during early 2000’s. But his biggest passion was playing the guitar, including writing and recording his own compositions.
His enthusiasm, natural talent and outgoing personality led to him becoming a noted and respected guitarist in and around the local Dover area clubs. After becoming the sole guitarist in the local band ‘Harrier’, he and his band mates performed for a benefit in New York City’s Central Park in 1982. Michael was a conspicuous feature in another band, The Chord Monkeys, with his older brother, Jack, in the mid-1990s. Michael also loved spending time with friends and family, learning the wonders of astronomy, and reading the Bible.
Michael is survived by his parents, sister Terry and her husband Scott Singley; brother Jack and his wife Terry Sipple; nephew Matthew and his wife Melanie Schur, their children Ryan, Samantha and Gregg. In addition to 14 Aunts and Uncles, he also leaves behind numerous loving cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Monday January 26, 2014 at St John's Lutheran Church, 113 Lotus Street, Dover Delaware at 10:15 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor C.J. Ransdell will be officiating. The burial will be at Lakeside M.E. Cemetery Dover, Delaware. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com
