Mark Edward Price's Obituary
It is with great sadness and loss that we say goodbye to Mark Edward Price of Smyrna, DE, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 71. Born in Princeton, West Virginia on October 25, 1953.
His vibrant spirit touched the lives of all he met and his quick wit will long be remembered. Even in sickness, he still enjoyed telling a joke or a funny story. Many of his nurses said at least he still kept his sense of humor. Mark enjoyed hunting from a very early age and still wanted to go this year even though he no longer had the strength. So, the next time you see a flock of geese flying high overhead, think of Mark. He’ll be looking down on all of us.
Mark was predeceased by his parents Hugh Woody Price, Jr. in 2008 and Verna Jean Miller Price in 2010 of Dover, Delaware.
He is survived by his loving and supportive family. Mark’s wife of 28 years, Cathy Granan Price, his two daughters Melly and Ashley, two brothers, Steve Price (Diana) and Steve’s daughter Megan, Kurt Price (Lynn) and their two children Jim Price (Kasey) and Katie Price, two stepchildren Matt Mills (Chandler) and Sarah Kane (Joey), a sister-in-law Gayle Coker (Brian) and her daughters Amy Chadwick, Allison Passwaters, and Jessie Pusey. Ten grandchildren, Trevis, Josh, Luke, Hunter and Natalie Price, Cole, Reese and Holden Mills, Jackson and Maddox Kane, as well as many dear and cherished friends.

A celebration of life is being planned for a future date. Memorial donations can be sent to Delaware Hospice in his honor.
