Margaret Peggy Walker's Obituary
Margaret "Peggy" Anne Walker, 85, Marydel, MD passed away after her long battle with cancer Saturday May 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loves ones and family at her side and devoted friend Brian Tuxward.
She was born on May 6, 1936 in Linwood, PA to John Evans and Marlan Palmer Barr.
She was a member of Ladies Auxiliary of Marydel Volunteer Fire Company.
She was partner and owner of Walker's Liquor store and Walker's Mobile Home Park in Marydel. She was devoted to her business and family. She enjoyed bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, traveling, collecting angels and spending time on her porch with family.
She is preceded in death by her husband James F. Walker, daughter Mary Ellen Thomas, brothers Robert, Ronald and Allen Barr, sister Jacqueline Digges.
She is survived by Daughter, Peggy A. Jones of Marydel, MD. Daughter, Violet M. Fiore of Marydel, MD. Daughter, Susan L. Iplenski of Clayton, DE. Step Son, James F. Walker, Jr. of Mansfield, PA. Step Son, James E. Walker of Hartly, DE. Step Daughter, Doris L. Bean of Marydel, DE. Step Daughter, Dolores E. Peters of Marydel, DE. Brother, John Barr, Sister, Julie Higginbotham , Sister, Kitty Heffelmier, Sister, Dolly Iplenski, 7, Grandchildren and 9, Great grandchildren and 1 great great grand child. A Host of Nieces and Nephews.
Services will be held Thursday 05/27/2021, 12 noon at Marydel Fire Hall in Marydel, DE Family and friends may call at 11 AM.
Burial will be at the Sharon Hill Memorial Park Dover.
In consideration of protecting the family and friends health, for the prevention of the spread, of the covid-19 virus, public health guidelines are in place.
