Marcianna Frances (Leszyk) Lawson
Went home to be with the Lord on August 16, 2016 , 2016. She was 98 years old. She was born in Elmira, New York on January 29,1918 and preceded in death by her parents Nicodemus and Sophia Leszyk, and three siblings. Felix Leszyk, Cecila Foulke, and Vicent Leszyk, all from Elmira, New York. Her husband John Lawson also preceded her in death. They were married 53 years.
She went to St. Casmir’s School and Elmira Free Academy. She joined the military where she meet her husband, John. When her children were in all in school, Marcianna went back to work for the government. Marcianna worked at Dover Air Force Base Hospital, until retiring in1983. After retiring, she and her husband traveled and did volunteer work in the community.
Marcianna is survived by her three children. Carol Kranick of West Seneca, New York, John Lawson, Jr. of Brandenton, Florida, and Joseph Lawson of Dover, Delaware. She is survived by five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, John Leszyk of Cayuta, New York.
Services will be held August 19, 2016 at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware 19901. Friends may call between 10:30 am and 11:30 am, and services at 11:30 am. Interment will be at Sharon Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware 19904
