Lucy Inez Sapp, 75
Dover -- Inez Sapp, 75, of Dover, passed away Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at Kent General Hospital, Dover.
She was born on Dec. 2, 1940, in Louisiana, to the late Clyde and Ima Gray.
Retired from the Dover PD she was a strong woman and a hard worker. All who knew her called her Mom.
Mom is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Edwin L. Sapp in 2007; and her son David B. Sapp in 2011.
She is survived by son Russell Sapp of Dover and son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Candice Sapp of San Diego; brother, Clyde Gray, Jr. of Louisiana and sisters, Ila Walsworth and Glenda Simpson of Louisiana; grandchildren, Angela Sapp, Jessica Blann, Brett Myers, Danielle Alberts, Angel Sapp, Jonas Sapp, Mallory Sapp and Samantha Sapp as well as several great grand-children.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Sat. Feb. 13th 2016, at Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
