Louise P Massey's Obituary
Louise Porter Massey passed away at her home on March 28th, 2017. She
was born on September 2nd, 1927 in Milford hospital, Milford Delaware
to Mildred and Harvey Porter of Camden DE. She retired after 15 years
on the staff of Wesley College. She was a past president of The League
of Women Voters of Greater Dover and a past member of the Classy
Lassies Red Hatters and a member of People's Church of Dover. Louise
was preceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, Nelson James
Massey. She is survived by her sister Janet Robbins of New York, her 3
children Leslie Smith of Virginia, and husband Larry, Michael Massey
of Dover, and wife Donna, and Nelson "Chip" Massey, and wife, Melinda
of New York, 5 grandchildren Andrew Smith, Michael Kent Massey, and
Erika Massey, Jennifer Glanden, Donnie Daniels and great grandchildren
Mason and Dalton, and nieces Eva Burke, Laurel Robbins, Susan Robbins
and Melissa Beegle.
The family wishes to thank Compassionate Care Hospice of Delaware for
their caring support. A memorial service will be held at Trader
Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover, Delaware on Saturday April 1st,
2017 at 12pm. In lieu of flowers the family ask donations be made to
Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 248 East Chestnut Hill Road,
