Linda Kouse's Obituary
Linda Kay Kouse of Felton, DE passed away in her home on Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was 76 years old. She was proceeded in death by her father John Arthur Kennedy and her mother Mary Kennedy.
Upon graduating from Dover High school, Linda attended cosmetology school and then married. She was an avid bowler when her children were young, and later enjoyed attending car shows with her husband. She retired from the State of Delaware, Office of Highway Safety where she worked to keep our highways safe. If the weather was nice, you would find Linda outside as she firmly believed that being in the sunshine improved the mood. We often heard her say, “You need to go outside and blow the stink off”. Her faith in Jesus Christ was a priority in her life, and she enjoyed attending her church and hearing preaching of the Word of God. She also enjoyed reading and the companionship of her dog.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth Don Kouse, her sons Michael and Jason Kouse, her six grandchildren Ethan, Carter, Skyler, Olin, Lacey, and Jameson, her sister Michele Palmisano, her brothers Jack and Jeff Kennedy, and numerous other extended family members.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 21st at Trader Funeral Home 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE 19901. Viewing from 4pm – 5:30pm and services from 5:30-6pm. Internment will be at the Delaware Memorial Veteran’s Cemetery in Millsboro, DE on Friday, March 22nd at 1pm for immediate family.
