Linda Matilda Douglas' Obituary
On Saturday, April 27, 2019, Mrs. Linda M. Douglas departed her life at Cadia Rehabilitation Capitol, in Dover, Delaware.
Linda was born on December 17, 1927 in the town of Moravia located in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica to the late Felix & Melbrozene Sinclair.
Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior during her teen years, and worshipped at various churches in Canada, Florida, Maryland and Delaware.
Linda was employed by Holiday Inn Hotels, and retired from the Four Seasons Hotel. Upon her retirement Linda enrolled in a nursing program and received her credentials as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
Linda was united in holy matrimony to Harold Douglas (preceded her in death). One son, Desmond Anthony Douglas, (preceded her in death). She is survived by Donald (Angie) Douglas (Lehigh Acres, FL), Cecil Douglas (Baltimore, MD), Michael Douglas (SilverSpring, MD), Steve (Mariamma) Douglas (Grayson, GA), and Christopher (Valerie) Douglas (Davidsonville, MD). She also leaves to mourn four daughters, Maureen (Bryan) Hunter (Smyrna, DE), Barbara Wood (Beltsville, MD), Paulette (Vernie) Walton (Smyrna, DE) and Michelle Whittington, (Charlotte, NC).
Linda leaves to mourn 3 brothers Wycliff, Asley and Lloyd, a sister Mervis; 29 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Linda is now a glowing angel and heaven’s gates are opened wide to welcome her home.
