Linda Susan Davis' Obituary
Linda Susan Davis, of Camden-Wyoming, DE passed peacefully on May 9, 2015 at Christiana Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Linda was born 1-1-1951 in Trainer, PA to the late John Robert Hardy, Sr. of Felton, DE and Pearl Dantinne McGowan of Millsboro, DE. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, James M. Davis, her brother Kenneth David Hardy of Millsboro, DE and sisters Jeanette Pearl Baum and brother in law Richard Baum both of Chester, PA
She is survived by her son Billy J. Davis and his wife, Kim, of Camden/Wyoming, DE her daughter Terri Lynn Moore and boyfriend Andrew and her grandson Grant Chandler Moore. She is survived by her brothers John E "Jack" Brittingham of Dover, Robert Richard Hardy (Debbie) of Greenwood, Dean Roy Hardy of Lacama, NC and John Robert Hardy, Jr. od Dover, DE and her sister Sandra Szabries (Pete) of Vienna, WV and Ruth E. Hardy (Phil) of Dover, DE She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and their families.
Linda was a devoted mother, wife, and homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, and watching cooking shows. She worked at Hall's Restaurant in Camden/Wyoming for many years until her retirement. She loved talking with friends and having special visits with many close family and friends. She especially enjoyed times spent with her nephew, Richard Longo of FL, and her niece Angie Hall, her husband Heath, and their three sons, the Moore family, Russell and Leanne, special friends, Wayne and Alberta Curry, Her daughter in law's family, The Crothers Family, and all of the girls at Hall's Restaurant. Linda thoroughly relished her travels and all of the time spent with her beloved son Billy and daughter in law Kim. She enjoyed the opportunities to play with her great nieces and great nephews Trenton, Jude, Ave, and Emma as they reminded her of the lovely, great times that she had with her much loved grandson, Grant, when he was their age.
Linda showed amazing grace, courage, and strength through her lengthy hard illness. She was a stellar example to all of those around her. She was an awesome lady in so many ways and will be deeply missed by many.
The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to Linda's dialysis team in Dover, Bayhealth/Beebe and especially to Dr. Weiss and the whole team of Christina Care doctors and nurses for their years of continued support, love, encouragement and excellent care. Also, a special thanks to Pastor Steve Jackson and his wife Mary for their support. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
