Leon (Buddy) Carter
Dover- Leon (Buddy) Carter went home to be with the Lord on Jan.18,2016 after a long illness. Buddy was born on June 17,1945 in Dover, Delaware. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon (Buck) and Edith Carter, a son Leon (Buddy) Carter 3rd. Buddy served in U.S Army National Guards and worked as Chief of police for the town of Camden Wyoming, Delaware.
Buddy loved spending time with his family. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, camping and good old country music. Buddy was a volunteer fire fighter for Camden Wyoming, Delaware. He is a member of People's United Church Of Christ of Dover, Delaware.
He is survived by his children, Michael Carter, Travis and his wife Jamie Carter, and Colt and his wife Leigh Anne Carter. 4 grandchildren, Taylor Carter, Kasey Carter, Blake Carter, and Kori Carter. 4 Sister Virginia and her husband Georg Sawyer, Shirley and her husband Walter Wharton, Rebecca and her husband Ted Enss, and Brenda and her husband Andy Polasko.
Funeral services will be held Monday 01/25/2016, at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street Dover, Delaware by Rev Ellen Witko of People's United Church Of Christ. Family and friends may call 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m for viewing and visitation. Services will began at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover, Delaware.
