I am sorry not being able to pay my respects to Lena on Monday. I met Lena and talked quite frequently by phone when I was doing the John Jones and Elizabeth Mahoney family genealagy. She not only shared her many memories of Woodland but provided a wealth of information on the Slaughter family. Without her being so willing to help me I would have quite a void in the John Jones family.

Our deepest sympathy to this wonderful family in the passing of this loving, kind, and beautiful lady who was loved by all. We were fortunate to be a neighbor for 12 years and have Lena and Ray babysit our daughter, Rebecca. One of our many memories includes our evening get togethers on their porch.
